The Earl Johnson Photography Story
Since the early 80's, Earl has been busy all over North America and beyond shooting a wide variety of commercial equipment and trucks of all kinds. Hundreds of
brochures
, card products and 18 books came from that photography. He is considered by many to be one of the best Heavy Truck Photographer in the world.
In the 1970's Earl served as a medic in the Army and contracted hepatitis C. Typically, this virus lies dormant for a long time, which means you have a normal working career before the resulting liver damage makes work too exhausting. That day arrived in 2013, and life as a photographer on the road has been changed to fishing in nearby Stone Mountain Park.
In 2015, the remaining stock of books of both the tow truck and working truck series were sold to Wes Wilburn, well known throughout the towing industry and Founder of the American Towing & Recovery Institute.
