Condition:
Vertical "Wood Hydralic Hoist" as per the brass data/instruction plate (intact but split down the middle--probably from frost), patent date Oct 21 1912 (go to Google Patent for a look). I bought this years ago for a 1919 Nash Quad project, but decided to go with a wrecker-hoist configuration. Piece is totally rusted up, and the one base leg was burned off with a torch. Main cylinder 6 1/2" x 52 3/4". Piston ~4" dia. Upper cable wheels ~9 1/4" dia. Top cross beam 36". (2) Lateral bottom L steel beams 37 1/2" long. Botom pump assembly intact but rusted up and cracked from frost. (In talking to an 'old guy', this was an apparent problem with the vertical piston design, i.e. water would seep down the piston and migrate to the resevoir where it would then freeze up and break the metal. The ~mid frame operation handle assembly appears intact but rusted solid.
