VTG 1947 ZENITH TRANS-OCEANIC 8G005YT for PARTS or RESTORATION Serial#T991769

Description

Offered today is this 1947 ZENITH TRANS-OCEANIC CLIPPER PORTABLE Shortwave Radio, Model 8G005YT.  I am selling this for Restoration or Parts as this came to me from a local estate and I have no information on it,so sold As-Is and As-Found.  Please review all the photos as what you see is what you get. The serial number on this one is T 991769. And from what I can see online was produced in 1947. The case is missing the top handle as well as the lower half of the latch on the front. The top antenna still locks in place and extends. Their appears to be damaged to what feels like an old plastic cover over the front dial.
