What a special Pair of actual Dinnerware that was used on the Texas & Pacific Lines!
The
TEXAS & PACIFIC Railway Company
, commonly abbreviated as
T&PR or as T&P
, was
created by federal charter in 1871 with the purpose of building a southern Transcontinental Railroad between MARSHALL, Texas and SAN DIEGO, CA!!!!
The T&P had a significant foothold in Texas by the mid-1870s. Construction difficulties delayed westward progress, until American financier Jay Gould acquired an interest in the railroad in 1879. The T&P never reached San Diego; instead it met the Southern Pacific at Sierra Blanca, Texas in 1881.
The Silver Patina & Shine on these 2 SOUP SPOONS have a very nice Bright Sheen to them. (You could polish if you like, but the current Patina is great!)

- Sorry about the Reflections on some of the Photos... The Silver Shine is really clean so the Flash & mirror images show us.. also, I used a window to get some clean Light, but there were a couple dark brown bottles and there is a slight Brownish reflection on some of the edges... (It is not rust or any blemish, just a reflection from the side props. Sorry.

You can judge from the Photos the overall condition of the Soup Spoons.

International Silver Company
