Vintage Sparton model 557 Sled mirrored radio

Description

Vintage Sparton model 557 Sled mirrored radio.  Radio as far as i can see has really never been fooled with on the restoration side of things. Does need a total restoration. I DO HAVE THE KNOBS WHICH ARE GETTING RESTORED one will be a repo when i get them back.power cord is cut so dont know electrically about the radio. All seems to be complete on chassis, belt is there but loose on tuner everything turns but the dial pointer.Some wires going to speaker have some bare spots too. I tried to show the crazing in places on the mirrors. I dont see any cracked mirrors which  is a plus.Mirrors will need to be restored , Chrome has pitting going on which i tried to show. Appears to have original grille cloth which is not torn.
The big question here is the shipping . Some recommend to take radio apart and ship in two shipments which one would have chassis and speaker in it. Some may not want to deal with this so i think the thing to do is to leave it up to a buyer [if there is one] as to how to ship. I cant really come up with any charge amounts until we know how to ship. The radio as a whole is heavy so anyway it is shipped i think could be as much as a 0.00
I had to put in a shipping amount so i put the 0.00 in . If something dictates more or less on this i will reimburse any amount under the 0.00 but will expect the same if it should go over 0.00
I do want to be clear that i wont be held responsible for any mirror breakage during shipping. I will pack radio in a manner that shouldnt be the cause of breakage because shippers do get a little rough from time to time.I will post pictures of the knobs as soon as i get them back.Pictures of knobs are posted.Heading to RI in early Sept, if you should purchase i can bring radio with me and meet you for a delivery,, states of Ind.,Ohio,Penn, Conn are states will will be traveling thru in our trip. Could alter return trip if it makes sense for us to do it.
