VINTAGE RARE 1935 SILVERTONE MANTLE AM/SW RADIO-ELECTRONICALLY REFURBISHED

I bought this beautiful Silvertone radio in 2011 to add to my collection. I have around 40 vintage tube radios. With my age now in the 70's, I am slowly trimming my collection. Rather than re-inventing the wheel, so to speak, I am going to quote the original listing through which I purchased this radio 10 years ago. So, here we go....
You are bidding on a beautiful 1935 Silvertone Mantel AM/SW Radio. The radio was made by Echophone Corp for Sears & Roebuck and Company in Chicago, IL.
It's a 5 tube radio receiving the standard broadcast AM and a Short Wave band, 4.8 to 18.2 MHz. The radio works very well. The audio has ample room volume and is clear without any distortion or hum. The radio needs an external antenna to receive stations properly which is supplied and attached. The tubes are: 6A7, 6D6, 75, 43, and 25Z5.
The radio cabinet is very stylish with a curved lower side, and has been refinished. The veneer is tight all around. The brass bezel and glass cover are in excellent condition. The Airplane Dial Needle and dial face are in great original condition, and tracks properly when the radio is tuned. The speaker Grill Cloth is in excellent original condition. There are 3 knobs, and I believe they are all original. The left knob is the volume on-off switch. The lower middle knob is the AM/SW Selector, and the right knob is for tuning.
The radio was checked electronically, all tubes tested and are all good. The filter caps and other changed components were replaced with modern equivalents, and the tuner aligned. The original cloth-covered cord is in excellent condition, and remains along with the original plug.
This is an extremely well built radio. The tuning mechanism and chassis components are outstanding. The dimensions of this Silvertone are 11" wide, 8 3/4" tall, and 6" deep. (end of original listing)
