VINTAGE PORCELAIN DOG SOY SAUCE / DIPPING PLATES FOR TWO Made in Japan

Description

This is a Vintage Porcelain Dog with Soy Sauce / Dipping Plates For Two that was Made in Japan. I was told that you fill the dog's body with the soy sauce, and then pour it out into the little opalescent plates.
It stands approx. 6 1/2" tall when fully assembled. The two dipping plates measure approx. 2 3/8" in diameter. It says "Made in Japan" on the bottom of three of the pieces.
This unique item would make an awesome addition to any home’s decor or collection, and would make a great gift, too! It would also make an interesting & decorative conversation piece. The pictures above show the condition of the actual item you will receive, as I don't use stock photography.
This item is in very good condition, but it does show some expected wear consistent with age. The blue ring is missing some paint in spots and has a few small nicks. (Note: the longer bright spots on the blue ring that are echoed on the other rings are a reflection of the light.)
Basically, it all looks as it does in the photos…
