Up for your consideration is a Vintage Pre War PHILCO Tube RADIO, model 41-221, AM/SW Shortwave from 1941. Just imagine what history this set received! The radio is a rare survivor since it has a great looking original back and more important a bezel that only has minimal distortion! Not many of these bezels survived due to the material used so seeing one in this condition is kind of rare! The radio itself is in good condition and works great both on short wave and broadcast bands as I was able to pull in some religious and foreign broadcasts on the shortwave band. I took a peak inside and Unfortunately this guy has not been re-capped. The plastic dial cover was held in by electrical tape but that should be a really easy fix. I would say this is a lazy mans restoration or just let it be as a show piece but like I said she is fully functional including a really bright dial light. Good Luck and good bid!
