As we visit Estates, we often come across something that not only has beauty but a real unique item with a special appeal and even a lot of Nostalgia! However, we were recently contacted by a former Missouri Pacific Railroad Collector who is downsizing his large Railroad Collection of Signs, Dinnerware, Silverware, Lights, Water Coolers & RR Lanterns... more. That is why we are offering this beautiful vintage Pair of Dinner Spoon & Dinner Knife for the
KCS Kansas City Southern Railway Railroad
Lines made by AMSILCO Company from Japan!
For Auction:
This is a Vintage Serving Pair for the KCS Kansas City Southern Railway Railroad Lines consisting of:
(1) Dinner Knife;
(1) Dinner Spoon.
Each of the TWO Tableware Pieces are clearly marked on the  Front side with the "
KCS
" Logo Identification. On the Reverse is the manufacturer being the higher quality Company of American Silver Company (AMSILCO) that made the Silverplate ware for the KCS Railroad!
The
Kansas City Southern Railroad
Company (reporting mark KCS) is an American Class I railroad. Founded in 1887, it operates in 10 mid-western and south-eastern U.S. states: Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. KCS hauls freight for seven major government and business sectors:
agriculture and minerals, military, automotive, chemical and petroleum, energy, industrial and consumer products & intermodal.

Details on the Item
:
- The Dinner Knife measures approximately 6 3/4" long,  I am not exactly sure of the Pattern, but with the ornate & beautiful Laurel Design, it is very nice!
- The Silverware Spoon measures approximately 6" long,  I am not exactly sure of the Pattern, but with the ornate & beautiful Laurel Design, it is very nice!
- The Silverware was actually used on the
KCS
Railway Railroad Lines
and will show some wear, scratches, burnishes - just as you would expect vintage Dinnerware.
- However, this Pair of Knife & Spoon actually are in very good condition with minimal markings - there are no major Nicks or Dents, but obviously some micro scratching.
You can judge from the Photos the overall condition.
Appearance:
- The Knife is clean & good condition, apart from the normal wear & tiny scuff marks on the Blade, as shown in the Photos. It has the Manufacturer Name:
AMSILCO, along with their Company LOGO & JAPAN engraved n the Blade
.
- The Spoon has the name "WORLD" engraved on the reverse as well as the Number, "99" (or possible "66") on the same reverse.
- Sorry about a few of the Photographers Reflections... the Silverware has a very nice shine to it and it is hard to avoid the Shine!
This Pair Dinnerware will be packaged very carefully with the proper padding to insure the item is Protected while being Shipped!
