Vintage James Kent Ltd. Nursery Rhyme Plate

Description

This child plate has verses from the English nursery rhyme "Who Killed Cock Robin". The first 4 verses of this nursery rhyme was published in the 1744 "Tommy Thumb's Pretty Song ", the extended version which includes the verses on the plate was printed i 1770. I do not know the author. The plate measures about 6 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. It does have a few utensil marks in the center, some gold trim paint loss and a small chip on the underside of the rim, see pictures.
