Vintage GE General Electric Model L-678 Radio-Phonograph Combo Parts Or Repair

Description

Vintage General Electric Model L-678 Radio-Phonograph combination that is good for restoration or parts.  The unit powers up and the turtable spins immediately when the unit is turned on - and does not shut off.  I was unable to get the radio to function.  The wires to the tonearm are disconnected, so i am unable to determine if the speaker is functioning.  Cosmetically, the body is in fair shape, with a great deal of wear to the finish.  I was able to bring back some of the original luster by cleaning it and polishing it with a professional wood wax.   The veneer on the front panel is warped, but can be corrected.  The grill cloths are in excellent condition, with one small frayed section on the right side.   The wooden grill frame on the left side of the radio/record player has some veneer damage and is weak.  The power cord is in excellent condition.   In order to ensure safe delivery,  the radio/record player will be double boxed.  Do not hesitate to make an offer,  all will be considered.
