    Description

For auction is a Vintage Fada Tube Radio, Model P80,circa 1947.  Due to a non-paying high bidder, I am relisting this.
I am auctioning this piece strictly AS-IS.
This radio is currently NOT working and will need repair / restoration or might just be usable for parts or decoration.
The power knob is broken, but here (pictured).
This piece has the kinds of dings and scuffs you would expect from a vintage piece but the case is in overall good shape, and the knobs and dial seem to be period correct.
The ‘EB’ knob doesn’t seem to work correctly.
I believe the case is Bakelite.
This is an AC / DC set (portable).
I have not tested the battery part in anyway, but the chassis looks clean.
The leather handle seems to be in really nice shape.
This piece can use a good light cleaning but I didn’t do anything to the surface as I know collectors like to determine what needs done.
This is a nice radio, but will need someone with the skills and time to fully restore it.
This would be a great project radio, or sadly a parts radio.
Either way, it is offered AS-IS.
I occasionally get asked if I will‘part-out’ or sell parts to a radio.
    The short answer is ‘no’.
While I appreciate that you may just need that one part, this only leaves me with an even less functional radio and someone else will have to replace the part you now have.
Please don’t ask if I will do this.
    Thanks for understanding.
Please ask any questions you may have – thanks for looking.
I do NOT believe in making money on shipping.
If the actual shipping cost is significantly less than what I have charged, I will refund you the difference.
Shipping is calculated to your zip code.
Please understand that I cannot control what the Post Office charges for shipping.
Please ask any questions you have.
    Thank you!
