Vintage Emerson Moderne Model 517 Plastic Tube Radio C. 1948 P/R

Item up for bid is a beautifully designed vintage tube radio by Emerson called the "Moderne" with a model number of 517. This radio has NOT been tested as the cord is shows multiple areas of damage and will need to be replaced so please bid as if it may require further adjustment or repair to function as intended. Radio was made around 1947 - 1948 and has a plastic body which shows no chips, cracks or breaks. Body exhibits some white spots of paint residue where original owner did not properly cover during an interior painting. Body as a whole as well as attachments all show soiling from age and years in storage so item as a whole could use a cleaning. Dial cover shows yellowing and darkening as is typical of old plastics. Item measures 7-3/8" top to bottom by 11-3/8" wide by 7" in depth. Fantastic piece that comes fresh to the market after decades of being stored away.
