Vintage DeWald Model D-508 Portable, AM/SW, 3 Band Radio Working. Condition is "Used".
I am presenting for sale this very nice, circa early 1950s DeWald Model D-508, portable, AM/SW radio that is in excellent  condition. The sound was quite clear when last used. The leather handle is intact, but well worn. The antenna extends properly and the dial indicator functions properly as well. The power cord is in good condition. The rear access drop folding panel appears to have been repaired at some point, but is hardly noticable. Panel separation is a common thing with old portables radios.
They've had the panel opened many times through the decades to change batteries or stow away the power cord.

: This is a 70 plus year old example of consumer electronics. I can in no way guarantee it to work, nor how long it will work. This is due mostly to the nature of aged electronic components which can fail at any time. I prefer a buyer to be a collector or technician who will understand the electrical nature of this type of product, and the eventual need for capacitor replacement for reliability. Thus it is sold strictly on an as-is basis just like a flea market buy, and only as a period decorative item. I will say only that I've had this radio for a number of years and it's been known to work to my satisfaction for that period of time. I offer it as period home decorum.
