Vintage Coronado 43-8190 "Racetrack" Radio - Works - Free shipping.
Those who have followed my listings over the past several months already know that we are getting older and are downsizing our various collections, particularly antique radios. We have had great luck in finding new homes for some unique artifacts.
This set would have been restored around 30 years ago and has seldom been turned on since. It has always been stored in climate controlled conditions. I did not take the back off for pictures, but I would
not
have kept it if the chassis was not pretty clean.
Works great -- 15 ft of wire connected to that antenna wire on the back actually does make it pick up a little better.
The case is painted
Bakelite of course, but the handle, the knobs, and the "racetrack" are Plaskon -- The pilot light jewel is not original -- I turned it on my Unimat lathe from something -- maybe a piece of Catalin? (smile)
