VINTAGE BAKELITE PHILCO TRANSITONE AM TABLE RADIO - MODEL 52-542

Description

Rare vintage Philco Transitone 52-542 AM tube radio, that was introduced in 1952.
It has a dark bakelite cabinet that is in excellent glossy condition - No cracks, scratches, or stains.  There is some tiny spots of white paint.  Dials work fine.
Radio works, but does not pick up any stations - just static. Has the original back.
The cabinet looks remarkable.
This is a MODEL 52. Philco was well respected for producing a high quality, good sounding table radios.  They made several models in various designs.  This actually, was one of the rarest. It has a front recessed, curved cathedral design along with gold tones in the flair back fore front.
