This Stromberg-Carlson cabinet was first manufactured starting in 1955. It is a variation of the "Chines Classic" that came out between 1949-1952 and bears the same solid mahogany cabinet and heavily carved panels in the front. The original had a television, AM/FM radio, and a phonograph but the newer model removed the phonograph and added in a larger television. This is would be the 21" Model XP21C5R.
The entire console measures 38" high, 39 1/2" wide, 22" deep, and weighs approximately 250 lbs. This item has never been updated or renovated and possesses all of the original wiring and equipment.
That being said, this item is
non-functional.
The body does show character marks to the finish on the top and the long foot but the majority of the exterior is in good condition. This is an ideal piece for restoration. Please consult images and message with any questions.
