Vintage 1948 Emerson Model 558 Portable AM Tube Radio

For sale is a vintage 1948 Emerson model 558 portable AM tube radio. Overall, this radio is in fair condition for its age. The main issue with its physical condition is that the plastic cabinet is in poor condition. The cabinet has a few cracks, at least one small chip, and looks to have been repaired with glue in a couple places around the edges. Additionally, both sections of the plastic cabinet have a significant amount of warping as can be seen in the photos. This damage is very common for this model due to the thinness of the plastic and heat produced by the radio. Otherwise, the radio appears to be complete.
The radio has not been tested because it requires a 67 1/2 volt battery which is no longer produced. Still a neat piece for display. Being sold as-is for parts or repair.
