    Description

This is a very nice condition, working, 2-band Philco table radio model 41-221 (S/N J00788). It was made in 1941, although the schematic says July, 1940. All controls seems to work well and this radio brings in lots of stations on the AM band with only a few on shortwave. An external antenna may help with the shortwave side. I will include a copy of the schematic diagram in case you would ever need it: Riders page 12-50 Philco. This set uses a twin triode for the local oscillator (1st triode) and mixer (2nd triode). This results in lower front-end conversion noise and then uses two I.F. Amplifiers to make up for lower conversion gain. The rest of the signal is processed like the usual AC/DC radios. Interesting. Anyway, this is a nice set. Shipping from Noblesville, Indiana. Shipping to lower 48 contiguous United States only. Buyer responsible for all shipping/packing costs to your location from 46062. I will pack this set very carefully. Do NOT go by eBay shipping calculator; I will invoice the correct amount. All sales are final; no returns.
