Description

Vintage paper optical novelty from the 1939 New York World's Fair. It is called The World of Tomorrow and it pictures George Washington on the front with the dates 1789 and 1939. When the layers of illustrations are extended it gives the feeling of looking at the World's Fair grounds with the Trylon and Perisphere at the far end. It measures about 5" x 6 1/2" and it extends to about 25" for viewing. It has one small 3" area where the tissue has come loose from the cover, but it has no other damage. Hard to find these in this condition because they are so fragile. No reserve auction!
