    Description

    This is a very nice Vietnam War M1 Steel Helmet with Mitchell camouflage cover that is in excellent condition. The helmet shell is without dents or any type of damage. It is complete with both clip-on type canvas chin straps and black finished hook and claw closure fittings at the ends. The liner has a dark green webbing suspension system and with a “66” dated neck harness in the rear. The Mitchell cover is dated “66” and with good color. The helmet is fitted with an original wartime elastic band for the addition of extra camouflage. Pinned to the left side of the cover is a 2-inch round pin that reads, “I’m a Vietnam Dropout”.  The helmet remains in very good field used condition.
