    Description

Up for bids is a rare Vicksburg Route 9" dinner plate.  Being from before 1926 (95+ years old), it does show some wear and imperfections, but overall is a great example of a very hard-to-find pattern.
The "Vicksburg Route" was a through route over the Alabama & Vicksburg and Vicksburg, Shreveport & Pacific - from Meridian, Ms. to Shreveport, la.  Control of the line changed in 1926 and it was renamed the "Magnolia Route".  In any case, the line had very few dining cars.
Of course, this plate will be carefully packed and sent with tracking.
