US Army M1 Helmet with Mitchell Camo cover Vietnam era.
The V on the side indicates 24th Infantry division or the "Victory Division"
I believe that date code on the camo cover indicates 1974 (see pics) This cover has a unique feature that I have not seen in all of my years collecting M1's.
The "cats eyes' reflectors are sewn onto the rear of the cover. Usually they are sewn onto the elastic band.
The liner is missing the sweatband and the date code is barely visible. I think it says 1969 but I'm not sure. The elastic band says Maj. Woodson on it. The elastic band could have come from another helmet.
A very unique collectible from the Vietnam era.
