Vintage Union Pacific Railroad Dining Car cover for a plate or platter. Cover only, no plate. Marked Reed & Barton Silver-Soldered 1322 11 U. P. System on the inside. 11" long. Weighs 1 pound 10 ounces before boxing and wrapping material. There is a very lightly stamped Union Pacific System logo on the outside up near the handle on one side only.
There are 2 heavy dents and numerous scratches, scrapes and scuffs in the outside finish.
It was either very heavily used on the railroad or was used for something else at some point in its life.
