    Description

    TWO RCA *Filtermatic*radios that are in need of restoration. Known in the radio collecting community as the "Jetson style." These sets don't come up often for sale & Do Very Well on-line once restored.
    PC board & tubes with built in antenna. I bought both sets together thinking I would use the one as a parts set.
    After further evaluation thought I would restore both because I liked the turquoise one better.
    The brown one IS original Parts, Complete & pulls in stations faintly.The turquoise set has a chip in the lower left corner & small crack in front bottom center, (see pics). It's missing it's power cord & one of the
    Two
    tuning strings is broke. That's why I'm selling them together in hopes they both get fixed together. I did repair the tuning wheel but still needs the 2nd string & tension spring installed. This set also hums because of the need new caps installed. The backs need to be removed first before pulling the knobs off because of retainer rings, that's how come the volume knob is broken on the turquoise set. The correct knob can be found on-line, e-bay, Renovated Radios or antiqueradioforum/classifieds. And....
    afterall that, I still like the turquoise set better. LOL
    I've recently retired & moved. Hate to let these two go without a full restoration on both. With house, yard & garage projects, just No Time to fix them all. I have a few of these tabletop radios that I'll never get to, so I thought I'd pass them forward to other collectors. These make Great flips to interior decorators, car guy's garages & vintage trailer "Glampers" or as gifts.
    These sets fully restored Do Well on  e-bay & make great content for
    You Tuber's
    restoration videos. It's hard because of the pandemic to get out now to thrift stores, yard sales & no Club Shows.
    I've sold Five of these Fixer-Uppers so far with no complaints whatsoever.I have others, l plan on listing more for a Low
