Trans-Oceanic H500

Description

This is a Trans-Oceanic T600. I replaced all of the capacitors and some resistors. I also refurbished any and all of the components that require it. I added many NOS tubes, and the ones I didn't replace tested as good as the new ones.
I finally made a battery box for mine and tested it, and found that it works better on the batteries than it did on the AC line service. Background was quieter, almost nonexistent. So, I'm including a battery box container, ready for 6 D-cells and 10 9-Volts.
It is working. It does receive in BC and shortwave. I've picked up shortwave signal in 4 selected ranges off of the radio's antenna outside. For indoors shortwave operation, I do recommend putting an external antenna and a good ground. It does help to pick up more shortwave stations.
