Description

This deal is for a Syracuse China Dewitt Clinton Restaurant Ware 1955 Condiment Monkey Dish 4.5".  Beautiful color.  No issues.  The bird is a pheasant.  This pattern was available for hotels and for personal ordering.
Syracuse China Dewitt Clinton Pattern #90601. The pattern, in bright yellow, red, blue and green, has three main components: (a) the narrow border that includes a yellow background and navy blue lines on either side, with what seem to be stylized leaves or vines in red on either side of a central blossom, interspersed with three red flowers, side-by-side; (b) looser sprays of flowers coming down from the border, along the verge and into the well; and (c) a center motif in the well of small versions of those flowers with a brightly colored pheasant in a branch or vine.
This Dewitt Clinton pattern has pieces that have any combination of these three main components.
Our dish contain two of the three elemental design components.  This dish has (b) the looser sprays of flowers component,
and (c) a center motif in the well of small versions of those flowers with a brightly colored pheasant in a branch or vine.
The backstamp round logo is dated 1955-57. Since we do not really specialize in vintage porcelain, but just offer to you what finds its way to us, if we are incorrect about the year of manufacturing, then we offer to you a really great find.  Either way, the colors on these replacements are beautiful.  We love this asian inspired design, named after a man from New York.
