Here up for bid is this  absolutely stunning high end circa 1938 Truetone radio receiver, with motorized tuning! The radio was years ahead of its time. The wood case is solid, and the original finish looks excellent. The chassis is clean and complete. The radio was restored at one time, and plays and gets stations clearly with good volume with a long antenna wire.  The pushbuttons can be set to use the motorized tuning, but it is tricky to set. The radio has a tuning eye, which works fine. Detrola made this radio for Truetone. It is the same chassis as the Detrola 175E. This radio would be the centerpiece of your collection. It is beautiful. The wood grains and art deco accents really make this radio sweet. This radio almost never comes up for sale. The radio measures 21 inches by 11.75 inches by 9 inches.
