Spokane Portland & Seattle SPS Railroad "CITATION" Platter John Maddock & Sons

Description

This is a Super Rare Antique Spokane Portland & Seattle Railroad Vitreous China SPS Oval Ironstone Platter by John Maddock & Sons England.  This is a very large and heavy Ironstone platter and it has a two concentric burgundy stripes, one at the edge and another inboard around the well of the platter.  The back Maker's mark has "Vitrified" in the mark.
I think the Pattern  might be called "Citation" since I have seen a few examples of Soo Line china with the same design identified as the "Citation" pattern
The measurements are 18 1/2" x 13" and the weight is 5 lbs and 10 oz.
The condition is preowned and glossy with the notation of very fine to moderate scratches, a tiny frit inclusion, some  pinholes with discoloration and a glaze pop on the edge.
