Shenango Pennsylvania Railroad* Salad Plates (2) Mountain Laurel Pattern
Very good used condition with no cracks, chips, stains or crazing.
There are small scratches in the flower design and on rims from normal use.
TWO Heavy ironstone salad plates (measuring 7 1/2" diameter x 1 1/4" high) by Shenango China in Mountain Laurel (State Flower) pattern used by the Pennsylvania Railroad. The "Mountain Laurel” pattern was used exclusively by the PRR on its passenger train dining cars in the 1950's & 1960's.
The border is a sea-green band.
These restaurant ware plates actually look like shallow bowls.
***There is no mention of the railroad on the backstamp but the pattern is the same.
