    Description

    I contacted the Portland Oregon Historical Society as these plates seemed to come from The Chief Cafeteria .  The Society found local advertisements first appearing in 1916 when they opened and then closed in 1928.  Restaurant Collector's Network had an article on the web showing the plates and mentioning the owner as Alvah Inman.
