Santa Fe Railway California Poppy Shallow Bowl Bauscher

Description

This 5 3/4" shallow bowl was made by Bauscher china and is back marked, "made expressly for Santa Fe dining car service 1929". The dish has no cracks or chips and moderate utensil wear. There are some faint usage stains around the rim and the bowl. Given its age and probably long service aboard Santa Fe dining cars, it is in very good condition.
Please note. This is old commercial grade china as used by railroads, steamship lines, etc., not fine china. There may be in this kind of china tiny dark flecks, pits, etc. This kind of china saw service at least once a day almost year round. I will describe and photograph to the best of my ability any flaws such as chips, cracks, stains or excessive utensil wear. But please examine my photos and my description carefully before bidding.
