RISER KIT FOR A VINTAGE DELTA 14” BAND SAW
Add 6” to the cutting height capability of your vintage Delta 14” band saw.  The riser kit works with either the wood or the wood/metal versions of the popular Delta saw.
This kit fits vintage Delta band saws with the hex shaped post.  It will not fit saws with a round blade guide post.
Don't order this kit if your saw has a round post.
The kit includes the follow components:
1.  A heavy 4” x 2½” rectangular steel tube and (2) ½” thick plates make up the riser block weldment.  It was then precision machined on CNC equipment for parallelism and to add the necessary dowel holes and pins for perfect alignment.
2.  A ¾-16 x 8” bolt, lock washer, and nut for securing the top and bottom saw castings through the riser block.  The square headed bolt has been modified by welding a secondary key to the bolt head to prevent rotation during tightening.
3.  A 7/8” hex x 16” long 6061 aluminum guide post
4.  Two (2) 1/4" x 3/4" black oxide plated dowels to insert intio the riser block holes.
5.  A clear poplar wood custom fabricated blade guard for enclosing the return portion for the saw blade.
6.  An extended length sheet metal finger guard for protecting the operator from the exposed blade when not using the high limits of available cutting blade length.
7.  A regular length short finger guard, comparable to the 7” OEM blade guard.  This guard protects the operator from the top portion of the exposed blade when cutting tall stock.
The riser block has been sandblasted and primed with a catalyzed PPG epoxy paint.
An extra wire passage hole has been added to top and bottom plates of the riser block to allow for internal wiring of a retirement light on the saw.
The bolt, lock washer, nut, and both sheet metal finger guards have been bright zinc plated.
All components will be securely packed into a heavy weight cardboard box for shipping.
