Restored VINTAGE Tombstone 1935 SPARTON MODEL 616M 4 BAND RADIO

Description

This is one of the top tombstones radios made by Sparton (Sparks-Withington Co.)
The radio is a stunning model crafted out of exotic veneers, highly unusual form and hand laid beading on the front. Note the six color dial, with the tremendous detail and graphics. The radio was designed to be a five band model with three bands vacant today. The radio current offers both broadcast (AM) and shortwave capability. The six-tube super-het is a fine one with a great level of sensitivity and sound quality. Very nice refinished condition. The entire radio retains all of the factory installed parts except for a few replaced capacitors.  18"H x 14-1/4"W x 10-3/8"D.
