Description

Rare Vintage NY 1939 World's Fair Fabric Trylon Perisphere Dupont TWA Art Deco. Appears to have been made into a curtain 69.5" wide by 65" long. This is full selvedge width doubled and stitched up the center of the piece. Lovely hand, lightweight cotton (possibly rayon? A museum with this fabric in its collection lists it as a chintz, and it does have a fine, crisp hand similar to a cotton lawn). Could be usable for a repro vintage skirt or dress? Given the age, lining might be a good call if used for fashion, though the condition appears to be good. The amount equates to 3.5 yards at 35" wide.
Condition is used, in good vintage shape. There are a couple of minor holes near the top of the piece, see photos. A few very minor stains, noticeable from the reverse of the fabric. Possible that those come out in washing. The pattern is faded (as judged by looking at the reverse hem), but all images are still clear and the colors are nice.
