    Description

    Beautiful Steward Warner Craftbuilt cabinet radio model R144-AS.  Rare and impressive beauty! AM and Shortwave reception.  5 tubes. The wood case has a very impressive grain pattern.   Dial is a beauty that lights nicely and has no decal loss.  Dial glass is without cracks or chips. Original knobs in excellent condition.
    This radio was previously restored but has not been powered up in 4-5 years.  I had a friend power it up briefly on his variac and the dial lit nicely and received stations with an antenna wire.  However, as I cannot vouch for the components it is being sold as -is!  This does not mean it doesn't work- it means it has not been reviewed by a tech.  Please note that on the top bend of the cabinet there is a some veneer splitting - please see photo number 9.
