    Vintage RARE Mid Century WINSLOW ANDERSON SEA SCENE POTTERY

    Signed W. ANDERSON.
    "Anderson, one of the first in-house designers at an American glass company when he was hired at Blenko Glass in Milton in 1946.  He lived to be 90 years old.
    He stayed at Blenko until 1953, when he left to become design director at Lenox China and Crystal in Trenton, N.J., where he worked for 27 years with glass and china.
    Anderson, who designed hundreds of objects in his career, lived in Milton after he retired from Lenox in 1980. The lifelong sailor also lived part of the year on a sailboat in Long Island and he traveled extensively."

    He also has several very rare pottery pieces that he also designed and created.  Very talented man.
