    Description

RARE HAND-MADE BLOW DART TREE BARK QUIVER & DARTS FROM PAPUA NEW GUINEA
This sale is for a rare hand-made, blow dart, tree bark, quiver with dozens of darts from
    Papua
    New Guinea.
The quiver is of a very sturdy tree bark with a hinged flap or cover over the top.
Inside has about 30 pointed, slender darts, each with a kapok or silk cotton plug at one end, ready for insertion into a blow pipe (there is no blow pipe being offered). Each dart is about 11 - 12 inches long.
The darts and quiver are carried over the shoulder.
This quiver is not only a fascinating hand-made curiosity but an actual indigenous rain forest tribal weapon and would enhance an ethnology exhibit found in any world class museum of anthropology.
    A very cool display!
