in 1950 Philco was down to only making 24 models
of radios. Not sure how many of this model were
made, but seems finding one in this condition is
becoming difficult This one is in EXCELLENT condition.
No cracks or scuffs anywhere on cabinet.
Dial covering has no scratches.
All dials work as they should.
Picks up plenty of stations ..both
on the AM and FM dials with Plenty
of Volume.
The dimensions of the radio are
14" x 7" x 7 1/2"
it weighs 9-10 lbs.
Philco was not acquired by Ford
Motor Company until 1961.
Philco began making batteries for the
earliest radios that ran on DC. Their first
radio was released in 1928. They have always
been known for their priority on durability
without interfering with quality.
This fact you can see from this 50-925 as with
all of the Philco radios I have ever worked on.
