    Description

This photo is an excellent high quality 8” x 10” black & white glossy photo  reproduction of a photo of an AUTOCAR DC10364SOH Tandem-Axle Tractor pulling a Tandem-Axle Dump Trailer in the MORSE SAND & GRAVEL CO. pit in Attleboro, Mass.
Note: I also have a photo available of two Morse DC10364SOH Tandem-Axle Dumps loading under a Bucyrus-Erie 71-B Shove with two other Morse Autocars in the background. I have a total of 5 Morse Dumps and Mixer photos available, all from the 1950s/1960s.
”SAMPLE” will not appear on your photo, it is only on the scanned image.
DESCRIPTION: The date of this Autocar Factory Promotional photo is unknown, but from the truck serial numbers it looks to be from the 1960s. This tractor-trailer has a full load climbing out a wet pit, with the bottom of Power Shovel in the background The tractor specs appear on this photo … in the 1960s a Cummins HRF 190-hp diesel was thought to be ‘big’ power, and with a 5x3 transmission, 65,000-lb. rears, and 11.00-24 tires this Autocar would have been spec’d for heavy-duty work.
MORSE SAND & GRAVEL CO.: was a large sand & gravel operation in Attleboro, Mass. From some old information I have, Morse was said to running 30 Autocar dumps and mixers. I believe now some 50+ years later the pit is known as Attleboro Sand & Gravel.
If you have any information on Morse, I would appreciate hearing from you … Thanks!
CONDITION: This outstanding black & white glossy photo is a reproduced photo from a vintage photo in my personal lifetime collection.  This photo has been professional printed on excellent quality FujiFilm Glossy Photo Paper. This 8x10 photo has a white border around the photo.
For your information, the description and documentation of this photo will be loosely taped to the back side of this photo. I try to ad some “added value” to my photos by researching each one, adding some history and information that you may not know. If I get something incorrect, please let me know … thanks!
