This photo is an excellent high quality 8” x 10” black & white glossy photo new reproduction of an 1940 INTERNATIONAL-HARVESTER D-SERIES Logging Tractor-Trailer fromWestern Washington State.

DESCRIPTION: This is a quality photo enlargement from real photo post card, photo taken by Kleppinger Photo and published by Ellis 700. The D-Series INTERNATIONAL-HARVESTER tractor carries a 1940 Washington license plate. From my knowledge of vintage trucks, I believe the I-H is a Model DR-70, the largest truck in the I-H D Series.
HISTORY OF THE INTERNATIONAL D Series - The new D Series introduced in 1937 had some really excellent styling with a modern all steel cab with a V-windshield, pontoon fenders, and dashing lines. The D-Series was offered from 1/2-ton to 6-ton ratings. For the 1937 production year, International Harvester production reached 100,000 units for the first time. The handsome D Series was replaced by the K Series in 1941.
CONDITION: This outstanding black & white glossy photo is a newly reproduced photo from a vintage photo in my personal lifetime collection.  This photo has been printed on excellent quality HP PREMIUM PLUS GLOSSY PHOTO PAPER using HP 02 Vivera Inks, producing a professional quality photo that resists fading over 100 years ... the best money can buy.  This full 8x10 photo has a white border on the top and bottom, but is borderless on both sides.
For your information, the description and documentation of this photo will be loosely taped to the back side of this photo.
