Here is a very nice tablespoon from the
Illinois Central Railroad.
It is marked
ILLINOIS CENTRAL
down the underside of the handle.
This is
quality
flatware, made by WALLACE for the ICRR -- it is marked
R WALLACE TRIPLE SECT
on the underside of the handle near the bowl
SIZE
:   7-1/4 inches long
PATTERN NAME
:
Dartmouth
- shown in "Silver At Your Service" by Dominy and Morgenfruh
CONDITION
:
Extremely nice,
with a good clear railroad marking. Only the lightest surface marks overall, NO bends or twists,
NO plate loss on the underside of the bowl!
This is a lovely example of a larger spoon, and it would be great in any good collection.
