    Description

    A handmade Arts & Crafts style, glazed terra cotta tile. This piece is a reproduction, made and marked in 1976 from an original mold designed in the 1890's by Henry Chapman Mercer and produced at the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works in Doylestown, PA.  It is one of a series of 12 carved relief Musicians, each hand painted from a palette of richly colored matte and glossy glazes. This tile is rustic and intentionally imperfect, however, the piece has integrity and is worthy of either display or installation.  Measures 7" x 5"x 3/4".
