    Description

This photo is an 8” x 10” black & white glossy photo new reproduction of GEROSA HAULAGE CORPORATION’s 1952 DC20064 AUTOCAR Tractor, Fleet #176.
Note: This photo is not up to the excellent standard of most of my photos … it’s a bit ‘grainy’ and does not show as much detail as I like … but it is still a very nice photo.
”SAMPLE” will not appear on your photo, it is only on the scanned image.
DESCRIPTION: The original Autocar promotional photo was taken on 1/28/1952, probably in a Gerosa yard. In this photo, the driver is leaning out the window talking with a Gerosa manager with cigar in hand. The tractor carries a New York 1951 license plate, a Connecticut 1951 PUC plate, a Massachusetts 1952 Public Utilities plate. In the background to the right is Gerosa lowboy trailer #8, perhaps just dropped by this tractor, and to the left is a vintage 1930s Mack AC ‘Bulldog’ with a crane boom over the cab, still licensed and in service!
GEROSA HAULAGE CORPORATION, New York City, NY: Once one of the most famous heavy haulers on the east coast. The Gerosa family of companies, in business since the 1920s or before, grew to become one of the largest crane rental companies and heavy haulers east of the Mississippi. Their colorful red, green & white tractors and trailers could be seen all around the Metro New York and New England area. Gerosa generally ran heavy Autocars and Macks, with a few Whites for lighter work.
CONDITION: This black & white glossy photo is a newly reproduced photo from a vintage photo in my personal lifetime collection.  This photo has been printed on excellent quality HP PREMIUM PLUS GLOSSY PHOTO PAPER using HP 02 Vivera Inks, producing a professional quality photo that resists fading over 100 years ... the best money can buy.  This 8x10 photo has a white border on all 4-sides.
For your information, the description and documentation of this photo will be loosely taped to the back side of this photo. I try to ad some “added value” to my photos by researching each one, adding some history and information that you may not know. If I get something incorrect, please let me know … thanks!
