MATERIAL : Pottery of Sanda-yaki of GOSU-AKAE style.
SANDA-yaki is the kind of the porcelain that has been made in Sanda, Hyogo Prefecture. Most of it is blue porcelains. The history is from the late Edo period. And old it is not mass-produced. Therefore, it is comparatively rare. The blue porcelain resembles the Chinese blue porcelain. Moreover, in the work, it is famous in the plate of the shape of a tortoise, a fan, etc.
GOSU-AKAE is a generic name of red painted porcelain of Chinese Ming dynasty age. The characterful texture and style are very popular.
