    Description

Lot 13 > Five Winged Liberty Head (Mercury Dimes) that have just about reached the end of the line.
    1940D 1940S 1941P 1941D 1941S.
I'd say some are ready to be scraped, mainly the teens and twenties. But before that I'm giving someone a chance to put together a collection of most all the Mercury Dimes from 1916-1945 with a few exceptions for those I don't have. But you can see from the photo of my collection box I do have most of the years and mints.
By the thirties the dimes get better and most of them, along with the forties, will have
    F-VF details.
I will be putting them up for auction 5 at a time, five lots every week, 1-15, in a series I'm calling The American Coin Series. It will take 3 weeks to get through the series. Then I'll run the series again until I run out or no one wants them. So everyone will have plenty of chances to pick these up cheap over the next few months.
Lot 15A and 15B will contain 7 dimes and includes the final year, 1945. The 3 1945 P,D,S will have EF details. Sometime down the road I will pick 3 examples of the 45's with AU details. And as usual use your own judgement as to condition and value as I will not put grades on them. That's for you to do.
For the dimes I don't have I am substituting some that are unknown, unreadable dates and mints. THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE THE EXAMPLES THEY ARE SUBSTITUTED FOR... but they might be. It's simply the way the coins are displayed in an old "MERCURY" HEAD DIME collection book by Whitman, rows of 5. And it fits with Ebay's shipping requirement of up to 5 coins for the Ebay Standard Envelope shipping deal.
Even the unknown ones, so thin you can almost see through them are worth the weight of their silver content. And when in the future they all go into the melt bucket that's all that will matter
    >>>And I pay the shipping<<<
Coins come taped to a shipping card as pictured and attached to the packing slip.
I'm selling these to pay for medical expenses, so please NO RETURNS unless you don't receive what is listed. Coins removed from the holders WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED under any circumstances.
Being sold for their silver content and no other value is implied.
What you see is what you get, exact coins as pictured
