Elgato’s Game Capture HD60 is professional quality streaming and recording for the consumer level. Streaming and capturing gameplay is a lot of fun. If you’ve played around with the native streaming options on your console and are interested in getting into more serious sharing of your gameplay, whether it’s live streaming for people, recording Let’s Plays of games, or crafting tutorials, the Game Capture HD60 should be first on your list of affordable yet powerful solutions to consider.
For the last year, I have been using the Elgato HD60 to record my video podcast directly to my PC. I route the HDMI signal out of my iPad and capture it directly to my PC while streaming it live to Facebook via the HDMI pass-thru port on the Elgato. It works perfectly. One of my favorite things about the Elgato is that it is dependable, and it simply works. Once the software is configured for your personal needs, the process is hassle-free, time after time.
I’m no longer producing the podcast, so I’m hoping someone can get a great deal on an incredible piece of gear, while I re-coop a little of my investment.
This unit has only been used in a non-smoking / no-pet home environment.
