Goat Heads come from natural goat skins. Sometime their thickness, color, outlook, feel, vary from one to other, depending upon the animal it comes from. Playing hard sometime break the skin heads. Its your own judgement to figure out the strength of your tambourine which it can take from your beating. Occasionally playing hard and emotionally in the Church or elsewhere, might break.
Color of the Goat Skin might vary from one to other. Some come clean, white, some come yellowish, some brown, some smooth and some little rough surface. It all depends upon the skin of the animals.

Jingles are made from steel. Might be sharp edges. Careful when playing. Running hands on steel jingles is not recomended. This practice might leave minor cuts on hands or fingers.
