Description
ExcellentBaltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) Centenary pattern pitcher. Made by Sterling Lamberton, Design Patented.
4" tall and 4 3/4" from handle to spout. "Horse Drawn Car 1830" is on one side and The 'Philip E. Thomas' 1838 (locomotive) is on the other. Most likely dining car use was for milk.
Likely produced in the early 1950's after Sterling assumed ownership of Lamberton. Definitely preceded the era of Shenango and the appearance of the black "Interpace" overstamp which indicates museum shop items that were never used on dining cars.
Excellent pre-owned condition. No chips, cracks or hairlines. Extra shiny, ultra-clean pitcher. Extremely light use marks. Very minimal soil on the bottom.
