Arvin model 358 tube radio working
1948 Noblitt-Sparks Industries, Arvin ac/dc radio. It is model 358-T and works with just a bit of low level hum. The radio receives the standard broadcast band and picks up multiple stations using only its internal antenna. The circuit is the famous All-American Five, a superhet using five tubes. The cabinet is plastic and the finish, has been painted over in a blue color. The sound is loud; using a 4" round speaker. This is a slightly smaller than usual table radio, so it would fit almost any nightstand. One knob is original and the other a replacement. The back board for this radio was missing when I purchased it. This is a rarely seen radio. Its dimensions are 9 1/2" wide, 7" tall and 5 1/2" deep.
